The Razer DeathAdder Elite has oftentimes been noted as one of the top gaming mouses since it appeared back in 2006.

For its tenth anniversary, the update came in the form of the Razer DeathAdder Elite. The mouse maintains the same comfortable and ergonomic design that we appreciate, with a few refinements inside and out, most importantly durability.

Shop Specs

  • True 16,000 DPI optical sensor

  • Up to 450 IPS / 50 g acceleration

  • Razer Mechanical Mouse switches

  • Ergonomic right-handed design with textured rubber side grips

  • Gaming-grade tactile scroll wheel

Design

Razer hasn’t altered the overall appearance of the mouse.

It has the same standard dipped frame, two oversized thumb switches, and its sides are lightly bent inwards which along with the rubber surface pads offer an excellent and firm grip. The DeathAdder Elite has a nice low profile that should sit comfortably with both claw or palm grip, and the soft matte plastic exterior feels nice below the hand.

My Opinion

There's a reason that Razer DeathAdder Elite series has continued mostly the same across the years. Its shape fits comfortably in the hand and offers full functionality for seasoned gamers without being too complicated. The DeathAdder Elite builds upon that fame while making some upgrades to its sensor, new switches, two new buttons, and other minor adjustments.

It's still comfortable to grab, strongly constructed, and performs great across a full diversity of games.
